Independent facilities services provider, Aston Services Group, has been awarded three new shopping centre contracts worth circa £1 million per year. It has successfully won contracts for Ladysmith Shopping Centre in Ashton, Manchester, Prince Bishops Place, Durham, and Lakeside, Doncaster. All three contracts will be up and running by end February 2023.
Ladysmith Shopping Centre is a dual service contract where both cleaning and security is provided by the same team along with landscaping and washroom services. The contract has been awarded by Ashdown Phillips & Partners with whom ASG already has a portfolio of circa £2.5 million.
The contract for Prince Bishops Place, Durham, which has a footfall of circa 4 million per year, is also dual service, covering both cleaning and security. Awarded by managing agents Munroe K, the contract ensures that all current staff are TUPE transferred into ASG.
ASG was awarded the contract for Lakeside in Doncaster following a competitive tender evaluation and a team of 18 will deliver cleaning, security and maintenance for the centre which receives up to 2 million visitors per year. The contract has been awarded by Realm UK Ltd.
“We are delighted to have added three new and significant sites to our portfolio, representing a combined value of circa £1 million per annum,” said Nick Atkinson, managing director, Aston Services Group. “We look forward to working in partnership with the centre managers to enhance visitor experience and encourage business growth.”
