Training pays dividends at All Clean

All Clean Ltd has been named Employer of the Year by the business development arm of Sutton Coldfield College for its commitment to workforce development - ensuring every member of its staff undergoes training relevant to their job specification.
In a sector perceived as largely attracting unskilled labour, All Clean is convinced that its training programme not only motivates its people but also gives the company a competitive edge.
Mark Weston, All Clean’s MD, said: “Cleaning companies usually don’t win awards and so it is wonderful that our zeal for training has been acknowledged. The impact on the business has been measurable by our recent expansion, and fact that our skilled operatives can get the job done more efficiently and effectively means we can offer an attractive price for our services.”
The Employer Excellence Star Award was given by the business development arm of Sutton Coldfield College where 75 out of 145 All Clean employees have attended NVQ courses in cleaning, customer service and business administration, with a further 50 staff about to begin.
A trained workforce is a motivated workforce and this contributes to staff retention. All Clean has gone a step further by introducing the Lealta Loyalty Card after one year’s service as an incentive reward scheme.
Weston continued: “Cleaning is not a highly paid job so offering this card, which entitles staff to up to 40% off local goods and services, is one of the ways we can say ‘thank you for staying with us and keep up the good work’.”
