Taking a leading role at the RSC

Following a competitive tender, Incentive QAS, the specialist cleaning arm of Incentive FM Group, has been awarded a three year contract by the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC).

Under the terms of the deal Incentive QAS will be responsible for the cleaning of RSC's multiple sites in Stratford-upon-Avon and London including its main theatre which seats 1040 people. This will include providing regular daily and programmed periodic cleaning of the theatres and estate, servicing of the theatre facilities throughout performances, the provision of all hygiene services and water coolers. In addition, Incentive QAS will undertake all window cleaning, landscaping and pest control.

22 members of staff will transfer to Incentive QAS under TUPE and will undergo an intensive training and development programme.

Fiona Loveland, head of facilities, Royal Shakespeare Company, said: “In appointing Incentive QAS we have identified a partner that is a cultural fit for us as an organisation. We've worked through the mobilisation period and go-live phase in true partnership and look forward to continuing to develop the relationship.”

Dwayne Royall, operations director at Incentive QAS, said: “Visitors from all over the world come to see performances by the Royal Shakespeare Company so it is vital that their facilities are kept at the top level of cleanliness at all times. At Incentive QAS we understand the requirements of prestigious organisations such as the RSC and have developed a programme that delivers extremely high levels of service whilst driving through efficiencies.”
