Livingston based company Empteezy has continued its run of industry firsts by becoming accredited by the British Safety Industry Federation’s (BSIF) Registered Safe Supplier Scheme for PPE and related equipment, which in the case of Empteezy is its spill containment products.
The accreditation from BSIF comes just one month after Empteezy received certification from three independent tests that its emergency tank shower (SE-VTS-1 tank shower) meets the standards set out by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the three European standardisation organisations (CEN, CENELEC, ETSI).
The BSIF Registered Safe Supplier Scheme provides customers and users with reassurance that they are buying products which are high in quality from a trustworthy source. The scheme is only open to BSIF members and Empteezy completed the process to become a member in early 2017.
Membership of the scheme highlights the company’s strong commitment to ensuring all PPE and related products traded correspond with the requirements of the PPE directive or regulation, and any product performance standards to which they claim certification.
Empteezy’s sales director, Paul Wray, took over from group coordination manager, Andrew Lawrence, on the BSIF Liquid Pollution Control Group committee from April 2017. Lawrence is stepping down after more than 10 years. Wray said: “It is an incredible company achievement to be accredited by BSIF for the Registered Safe Supplier Scheme, and further demonstrates our commitment to ensuring our customers only receive high quality products. We take immense pride in the equipment we supply, and I am looking forward to joining the BSIF Liquid Pollution Control Group committee to continue building on this fantastic initiative.”
