International total facilities management provider OCS has won a five year, multi-million pound contract with British Airways. Following a major review of its current FM services delivery, BA awarded the prestigious soft FM services bundle to OCS through a rigorous bidding process.
The contract includes reception, porterage and cleaning services and covers multiple sites throughout the UK including the airline's head office, Waterside near Heathrow, its cargo and engineering locations at Heathrow and regional offices in Newcastle and Manchester.
Steve Probert, property operations manager, British Airways, said: “The vision of the Facilities Management 2013 programme was to provide 'best in class' services across all FM operations, in a cost effective manner that delivers excellence to our internal and external customers. The decision to appoint OCS to provide soft services supports this vision and provides a flexible service provision and improved business processes. OCS clearly demonstrated how they will provide the value-add we need.”
This contract builds on OCS's long-standing partnership with the airline and on the relationships forged through the company's existing aircraft appearance and logistics contracts which it has held for many years.
