Facilities management provider Servest Group has further invested in its business by opening a new facility, near Servest's head office in Bury St Edmunds, to house several support teams. The new premises at Vicon House in Western Way is now home to centralised support functions including the customer support team plus teams including asset management, health and safety, and IT that support all of the Servest divisions.
Around 30 staff have relocated to the new building and Servest has invested in providing good, fit-for-purpose facilities for them. There is also room in the new building for the support teams to take on more staff to support Servest's growth strategy to become one of the top five FM service providers in the UK, with several key acquisitions in the pipeline.
Servest was supported by St Edmundsbury Borough Council in finding the new premises, given that Servest will be creating new jobs on site. The council's economic development team put Servest in touch with the landlords of Vicon House, which is close to the council's headquarters at West Suffolk House.
