Safety accreditation for Regent Samsic

National cleaning, security, and related support services contractor Regent Samsic has been awarded accreditation from Safecontractor for its commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety.

Employing 5000 people, the Coventry-based company serves over 750 clients, including NHS Blood and Transplant, Volvo Truck and Bus UK, United Biscuits, Fosse Shopping Park, Birmingham Metropolitan College, and builders merchant, Jewsons. The Safecontractor third party accreditation scheme recognises high standards in health and safety management amongst UK contractors.

Regent Samsic's joint managing director, Jonathan King, said: "Health and safety are paramount disciplines in our day-to-day operations and Safecontractor accreditation reassures existing and prospective clients of our commitment to both."

Under the Safecontractor scheme businesses like Regent Samsic undergo a vetting process which examines health and safety procedures and the track record for safe practice. Those companies meeting the standard are included on a database, which is accessible to registered users only via a website. Over 210 nationwide businesses from several key sectors have signed up to use the scheme when selecting contractors for services such as building, cleaning, maintenance, refurbishment, electrical, and mechanical work.
