FibreGrid, producer of anti-slip flooring products, has completed a major installation of heavy duty GRP stair treads at Sheffield Girls' School.
SlipGrip heavy duty anti slip stair treads are produced using FibreGrid ExtremeCore grit, which is twice as hard wearing as the industry standard quartz. The contrasting yellow or white nosings at 55mm x 55mm comply with UK building regulations and the Disability Discrimination Act.
The many stairwells in Sheffield Girls’ School were recently fitted with the stair treads, plus heavy duty GRP sheets, resulting in an extremely slip resistant finish in a high foot traffic area. With a pre-constructed design, SlipGrip non-slip stair treads can be walked on immediately and fitted with ease, keeping downtime to a minimum.
As well as offering a 10 year wear guarantee, the low profile fibreglass construction is also produced by the pultrusion method which means they will not bend, warp or split over time. In addition to being non slip, SlipGrip is also chemical resistant, providing a solution for potentially hazardous areas, and is suitable for metal, wood and concrete stairs.
