Events and venue cleaning specialist Ryans Cleaning worked round the clock to make sure the major three-day Latitude Music-Arts Festival site in the Suffolk countryside was left clean as a whistle.
The sixth Latitude Festival attracted up to 35,000 revellers at each of three days to see headline acts under soaring temperatures at Henham Park, Southwold. 24 shifts of more than 150 staff from Ryans Cleaning over the duration of the event meant the site was well kept throughout and passed every inspection. The final major clean took just two days and Ryans Cleaning was able to hand the site back in spotless condition.
In all, 24,000 refuse sacks of waste were collected, using 2000 pairs of gloves and more than 4000 wheelie-bin liners.
Aisling Ryan, waste manager for Ryans Cleaning at Latitude, said: “Our staff did a great job and we were always on top of the situation, a major challenge over the three days. Even the cleanliness of the toilets was commented on by many and passed inspections by the health authorities on a regular basis. It gives us great satisfaction to be able to hand back another festival site this summer in spotless condition. We're becoming known as the deep cleaners of British festivals.”
Ryans Cleaning has provided services to some of the most memorable festivals and events across the UK and Ireland this year including British Summertime in Hyde Park, the Download Festival at Donington Park, Parklife in Manchester, and Robbie Williams and Rhianna at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin.
