Europe's largest manufacturer of refuse and recycling sacks, bpi.recycled products has become a preferred supplier to the Rentokil Initial Group. The business secured the new account following a highly competitive tender process and as a direct result of its infrastructure, expertise and can-do approach.
“Becoming a preferred supplier to Rentokil Initial is a real coup,” said Kim Jones, sales director at bpi.recycled products. “As one of the largest business services companies in the world operating across Europe, North America, Asia Pacific and Africa, it understandably has high expectations of its suppliers in order to maintain its global reputation. Our appointment is a direct reflection of our ability to meet those standards and is also a testament to the strength of our operations.”
As part of its successful tender, bpi.recycled products demonstrated to Rentokil Initial how it could rationalise the customer's current range of refuse sacks, reducing cost, stockholding requirements and the associated administrative demands of ordering and managing multiple product lines.
bpi.recycled products also went as far as developing new and bespoke refuse sacks tailored specifically to Rentokill Initial's needs. These sacks employ the latest in downgauging technology to offer all the strength and performance of conventional refuse sacks but from a thinner thickness of polythene film. The ultimate result is less material consumption, less cost and less waste post-use.
As well as these new sacks, Rentokil Initial will also be taking other product lines from bpi.recycled products including The Green Sack range of ultra-low carbon footprint, 100% recycled refuse sacks. These various products will now be used by Rentokil Initial nationwide and across numerous areas of operation including facilities management, healthcare and pest control.
Michael Hardman, category manager at Rentokill Initial, added: "We have chosen bpi.recycled products as our new preferred supplier of refuse sacks recognising their expertise gained over more than two decades of refuse sack production and their considerable manufacturing capacity which will enable them to keep pace with our needs. We were also impressed by their willingness to go the extra mile to develop a high quality, cost effective product that addressed our specific commercial requirements."
