It is with great sadness that we inform you that Peter Holt passed away yesterday at the age of 69. Peter – who was a very well known, well liked and well respected member of the cleaning industry – was attending the ISSA/Interclean exhibition in Amsterdam when he fell ill during an after-show reception on Tuesday evening. Peter was taken to hospital but, despite the efforts of paramedics and doctors, passed away at 17.50 at The Free Medical Centre in Amsterdam.
Peter will be best remembered for his drive in developing the Truvox business and, despite retiring some years ago, remained very interested in its development and could be found on the Truvox stand for much of the day yesterday. Peter was also a committed member of the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners, having spent one year as Master.
I had the pleasure of meeting with Peter yesterday, where he was his usual cheerful and friendly self.
The cleaning industry will miss Peter, and the thoughts of all of us at Cleaning & Maintenance are with his wife Linda, his family, and his friends at Truvox and throughout the international cleaning business.
