Partnership extended with Cordant Group

Bespak, a developer and manufacturer of complex medical devices, has extended its contract with the Cordant Group to include cleaning and security services in a move designed to deliver increased efficiencies through an integrated outsourcing solution. Earlier this year the group was awarded a three-year contract for the provision and management of temporary staff at Bespak’s key UK manufacturing locations through its businesses, PMP Recruitment and Cordant People.

Under the terms of the new deal Cordant Cleaning will provide a range of bespoke cleaning services across sites in Kings Lynn, Queenbury, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, and Nelson. Tailored for specific requirements, these include ground maintenance and general cleaning. Specialist ‘clean room’ services also form part of the remit. This will all be delivered by a core team of around 40 supported by the company’s specialist mobile cleaning team.

Cordant Security will provide manned guarding services at the Milton Keynes and Queenbury sites. Onsite managers will work across the workforce, cleaning and security services delivering additional value though an integrated solution.

Maggie Grey, indirect category manager at Bespak, said: “Over the past few months Cordant Group has proven that they can work to the high standards we demand and so we are confident in their ability to deliver in different areas. We are also keen to work with companies with ethical values that reflect our own and the fact that the company is a Social Enterprise is important to us.”

Jaimie Potts, facilities solutions director at Cordant Services, said: “This contract perfectly demonstrates our ability to deliver effective integrated outsourcing solutions that drive value and efficiencies. We are committed to continuing to drive performance output for Bespak, focusing on areas such as compliance, productivity and high levels of service.”
