Nviro has secured a succession of new cleaning contracts during a period of growth, marking a successful start to the company’s quarter and new financial year.
Nviro’s portfolio of schools and colleges has been further boosted following contract wins with Fareham College, Chichester Free School, Bishop Challoner Federation of Schools in East London and King’s College School in Wimbledon, with a combined contract value of £2 million.
In other sectors, Nviro has secured a three-year, multi-lot contract with Sovereign Housing Association. The contract, with an initial value of £1 million, covers supported and general needs housing across four of its regions - Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, and the Isle of Wight. The process centred around people, and included three interviews (one with a number of residents), where Nviro’s ethos, culture and mission were key to Sovereign’s decision in awarding the contract.
As well as re-establishing its relationship with former client, Yokogawa Marex, a specialist software solutions company based in Cowes on the Isle of Wight, Nviro has also secured a three-year contract with customer care outsourcing specialist, Ascensos. The contract sees Nviro providing an all-inclusive facilities management solution (incorporating security, washroom, waste management, and feminine hygiene services) at its brand new, purpose-built social media-based call centre on the Isle of Wight.
The company has also successfully retained its long-term partnership with Portsmouth International Port, a contract with a potential lifespan of 10 years. The council and the port ran a complex competitive tender process to evaluate if the cleaning provision should be taken in-house. The tender went out to the open market with Nviro successfully retaining the contract for at least the next seven years with options to extend for a further three.
Feedback from the port was that level of innovation and options around service delivery made Nviro stand out from the competition, including a number of national players and the council itself.
This is also the first contract that Nviro has incorporated a laser-guided, Robo 2 cleaning machine as part of its solution.
Nviro’s sales and marketing director, John French, said: “We are extremely proud to have retained our long-standing partnership with Portsmouth International Ports and to have added a number of new clients to our portfolio. What is common across all of these contracts is that our highly trained, innovative and motivated teams are making a real difference to the health and well-being of our clients. Some of which include the most vulnerable in our society - from young primary school children to the elderly and those living in general/sheltered housing. Our emphasis on focusing on our people - ensuring they have the right training, the right tools for the job and the right support - means we can deliver an enhanced user experience for our customers.”
