Clear Cleaning has secured 100% Government funding for Merton College’s NVQ2 window cleaning course.
Colin Brookes, managing director of Clear Cleaning Ltd, is convinced that NVQ2 training results in measurable safety improvements. That’s why Clear Cleaning workers are to benefit from NVQ funding supplied by Linden Management and Merton College. “Our goal is to have our first 10 window cleaners fully qualified by the end of February,” said Brookes. “This is an exciting time for Clear. Many of our clients are committed to setting a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 2, so in future companies who employ window cleaners without this level of competency will not be working on our client’s contracts.”
Clear Cleaning takes its training and competency responsibilities very seriously. “Safety is paramount to us,” continued Brookes. “We believe the information gained through the NVQ process will significantly contribute to our cleaners’ safety-skills - and as a director that’s exactly what I want. I need to be confident that all our staff are hazard-aware, and likely to be going home safely at the end of the working day.”
