Nilfisk UK has announced a significant strategic change to its sales structure in Scotland. The Scottish region will be overseen by Nilfisk key account manager, John McCabe, and serviced by three authorised dealers - DMG Floorcare, Machines 2 Clean, and Scrubvac. Strategic and national account customers will continue to deal directly with Nilfisk with back up provided in the field by the approved dealer team.
The change sees Nilfisk invest further in dealer partnerships that have proved very successful over recent years. All three authorised dealers have worked with Nilfisk for many years selling across a diverse product range.
DMG Floorcare Ltd is a family run company managed by David and Marie Grant (previously of Floorep). Together the team has over 35 years of combined industry experience. Managing director, Marie Grant, said: “We are delighted with Nilfisk's change of strategy in Scotland and are looking forward to working closely with the team. The new strategy will allow us to be very open and productive, a great combination in a difficult territory.”
Machines 2 Clean is managed by Pat McKay who has over 20 years industry experience. McKay said: “Machines 2 Clean is well placed with a balanced structure to support Nilfisk in its aim to be the customers' preferred choice.”
Scrubvac was founded in January 2001 by Jeff Bradford (a former Nilfisk engineer) and is now a family run business employing Meagan, Heidi and Patrick Bradford in addition to a sales manager and field engineers. Jeff Bradford said: “It's not rocket science for me to want to sell a product from a company that gives me maximum support, the way Nilfisk does. We don't take too much notice of the economy - people still need equipment to meet their needs but they want the best their money can buy. They also need it to last which is where great service comes in. We feel that Nilfisk provides us with the best armoury; with their product range and back up we know we can provide the best that there is.”
The recent Scottish announcement follows a very successful year for Nilfisk dealers. LVC was recently awarded the top dealer award for 2012 after delivering sales figures 'way ahead of the pack'.
Further awards included Ankef Cleaning Systems from Wakefield which has been awarded the top Nilfisk-CFM dealer for 2012. Ankef was also founded by a former Nilfisk engineer and has grown to become Nilfisk's biggest industrial specialist reseller in the UK.
The most improved dealer award went to TDC Services based in Deeside, North Wales who returned to the fold to demonstrate a 420% sales increase, including the sale of a CS7000 hybrid combination machine to T J Morris.
