NICE contract secured for next three years

Emprise Services has been awarded a three-year contract to provide cleaning and support services for NICE (the National Institute for Care and Excellence). The deal, won through a competitive tender process, began on 1 April 2017 and sees Emprise provide cleaning and hygiene services, consumables and window cleaning at NICE’s offices in City Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester.

Originally set up in 1999 as the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE), the organisation merged with the Health Development Agency in 2005, rebranding as the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence. In April 2013 it became responsible for developing guidance and quality standards in social care and its name was updated a second time to the National Institute for Care and Excellence to reflect these new responsibilities.

Mark Little, managing director of cleaning at Emprise, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract and welcome NICE as a new client. Throughout the tender process Emprise successfully demonstrated its ability to meet the service delivery and performance criteria set by NICE and we look forward to a forging a long-term partnership.”
