New sales manager at ePower Trucks

ePower Trucks has appointed a sales manager to support its new role as UK distributor for the Glutton all-electric street cleaning machine. Jamie Jones joins Glutton UK after a successful spell in sales for an industrial machinery manufacturer. Based at the ePower Trucks head office in Oldham, his role is to grow sales of the Glutton, which is equally as effective used outdoors or inside buildings. His initial focus is developing sales with local authorities, street cleaning contractors, visitor attractions, and hospitals.

The pedestrian-controlled Glutton is a quiet, clean, and environmentally-friendly alternative to ride-on street cleaners and powered barrows. It vacuums up any waste that can pass through a 12.5cm diameter tube including paper, cardboard, cigarettes packets and butts, cans and glass, plastic and metal bottles, dog faeces, dead leaves, and waste trapped in tree grills.

Jones said: “I am delighted to join ePower Trucks as the company continues its expansion with the Glutton distributorship. This is a unique product that can deliver real cost and environmental benefits to street cleaning operations. ePower Trucks has the national coverage and technical expertise to provide a high level of after-sales care and I believe this will be crucial in developing the market.”

100% battery powered, the Glutton provides 12 hours of operation between charges. Unlike ride-on sweepers, it sucks up dust rather than kicking it up into the air, and operators do not require a driving licence. Virtually silent, it can be used during busy periods without creating any noise or air pollution for residents, businesses, and shoppers.

Jerry Hanss, managing director of ePowerTrucks, said: “Jamie has an excellent track record in sales management and all the right attributes to help us significantly grow sales of this highly innovative product.”
