Manufacturer adds colour to its charity credentials

Bio-Productions’ MD Angela Gill, HR manager Sara Gibb and sales administrator Morwenna Bunt took part in the Colour Obstacle Rush event in Brighton recently. The fundraising trio participated in support of their designated charity, St Peter and St James Hospice. While the event is not marketed as a fundraising platform, the Bio-Productions team paid an entrance fee and in addition pledged to raise £200 each for their chosen charity. So far the threesome has raised over £700 and is hoping to add to this. Earlier this month Sara Gibb staged her own mini bake off where she traded sweet treats with staff at HQ in return for donations.

The Colour Obstacle Rush combines the thrill of an obstacle course over 5km with the atmosphere of a music festival and the fun of coloured powdered runs thrown in. Contestants negotiated 20 obstacles with eight colour stations and 20 music zones. When it all got too much, they were able to recover in a special chill out area.

Morwenna Bunt said: “The Colour Rush on Saturday was so much fun. It was great to be part of such a huge crowd who were all there for their own personal reasons. As a team we wanted to raise money for a charity that was both local and close to our hearts. I personally ran this for St Peter and St James' as they provided so much help and support throughout the final stages of my nan’s life in 2010. The Colour Rush was a thoroughly enjoyable way to raise awareness and it was a fantastic feeling to be part of such a motivating and supportive team, I'm looking forward to our next challenge!”
