The Manchester Cleaning Show 2026 concluded its two-day residency at Manchester Central a fortnight ago, defying travel disruptions and scheduling challenges to deliver a productive and high-energy event for the UK’s cleaning, hygiene and FM sectors.
With over 80 exhibitors showcasing the latest industry advancements and a total of 2077 attendees, the event highlighted the importance of face-to-face networking for professionals in the North West and beyond. Despite significant regional engineering works and a closure at Manchester Piccadilly station, the turnout demonstrated that industry professionals viewed the show as an essential priority for their business operations.
Exhibitor feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Companies reported a successful two days, leaving the venue with excellent leads and a high volume of meaningful conversations. The general consensus among those on the exhibition floor was that while external factors presented obstacles to travel, the quality of the visitors was exceptional, with attendees focused on building long-term professional relationships and discovering practical solutions.
The conference agenda was a particular highlight of the 2026 show. Sessions were well-attended, covering subjects that resonate deeply with today’s industry, including the practical application of technology, sustainability, and workforce development. These discussions provided a platform for experts to share insights on the challenges and opportunities currently facing the sector.
Paul Sweeney, Event Director, said: “I don’t mind admitting I was a little nervous before the doors opened on day one of the Manchester show. We anticipated attendance might not match the previous Manchester in 2024. We’d had to accept a tenancy during half-term week and then the announced closure of Manchester Piccadilly station provided an additional unwelcome headache. However, we had 2,077 attendees through the door, down 481 on Manchester 2024, but overall, the feedback from exhibitors has been extremely positive, with most mentioning the high quality of those who attended. There’s been some great content on LinkedIn from both exhibitors and visitors alike, which is hugely gratifying. Thanks to all our exhibitors for their time and investment and our attendees, for making the time to come along. The UK cleaning and hygiene sector under one roof - you can’t beat it.”
The success of the Manchester event marks a significant milestone in the industry calendar, setting a positive tone for the build-up to the London Cleaning Show in 2027.
