Avica UK Ltd, the independent janitorial, education and catering supplies company, has embarked on a major expansion programme across its three branches following exceptional business growth over the past year.
The Watford warehouse and headquarters was the first to be upgraded and expanded. Now the Tunbridge Wells site has doubled in size after expanding into the warehouse next door, allowing for increased stock and many new lines being available, taking it close to its goal of delivering 100% of orders complete. The fleet of delivery vehicles has also doubled, allowing all orders placed by 5pm to be supplied on the next working day. This development has resulted in new job creation and an expanded delivery area across Kent, Sussex and south London.
Avica's managing director, Jeremy Thorn, said: ”Although we supply products to our customers, we are fundamentally a service business, and to meet client needs we constantly have to improve our offering, with a wider range of stock, more helpful and knowledgeable staff and additional resources in logistics. We are planning to move our Northampton branch into a bigger purpose built warehouse by the summer of 2013.”
