After a full competitive procurement exercise, the Fulham Road Collaborative (FRC) has awarded a new five year contract, worth over £100 million, to its existing provider, ISS Facility Services - Healthcare.
The collaborative of NHS establishments along the Fulham Road in West London and their associate hospitals include the Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, and the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust.
This is the second soft FM award made by the Collaborative, as it previously awarded ISS a similar contract that ran from January 2012. The new contract will see ISS extend its presence to include waste management, whilst still providing a wide range of services including healthcare cleaning, patient catering, portering and logistics, linen and laundry, reception, and car parking. ISS was also successful in its tender to provide commercial retail services to the staff, visitors and patients at the Chelsea and Westminster and Harefield hospitals.
Chris Ash, managing director of ISS Healthcare, said: “We are delighted that the Fulham Road Collaboration felt that ISS continued to offer the best value for money and service solutions to its patients. The process allowed us to showcase a number of innovation, technology led service solutions. I am particularly pleased to see the opening of our inaugural academy, an industry first training facility that that will bring to life our new approach to technical and behavioral skills development.”
