LCC makes northern acquisition

LCC Support Services, the national independent contract cleaning specialist, has made its first acquisition as part of its plan to open new bases around the UK to service its national clients.

The purchase, Quadra cleaning contractors based in Blackpool, specialises in the holiday and leisure market. It services mobile home and holiday parks across the UK from the Isle of Wight and south coast to the northern and Lancashire resorts. Current work includes grounds maintenance and weekly cleaning prior to tenant handovers and key clients include Bourne Leisure.

Managing director Nigel Bury set up the business two years ago. Today it has a turnover in excess of £1 million. Bury will remain with LCC and become regional director for the north of England.

Bob Vincent, executive chairman of LCC Support Services, said: “This is a significant move for us as we have been looking for the right person to help us develop the growing leisure market. Nigel knows the intimacies of this sector and will help us grow this part of our business across the UK.”

In addition to the Quadra purchase, LCC has opened a Coventry base for which Bury will also be responsible, alongside the new office in Warrington.
LCC is looking to make further acquisitions to strengthen its midlands and north of England operations.
