Lancashire firm expands after new contract wins

Lancashire-based Cleanall Services has secured a number of high-profile contracts and is expanding its offering with support from Yorkshire Bank. Alder Hey Hospital, Ridings Shopping Centre, Wakefield, and Queen's Square Shopping Centre, West Bromwich are among the company's new customers.

Cleanall's industrial and office cleaning teams have achieved more than 50% sales growth over the last financial year. To meet growing demand, the company hired 60 new staff and purchased 11 new vans to add to its existing fleet. The new staff will receive at least the UK Living Wage with Cleanall being one of only 1700 UK businesses accredited as a Living Wage Employer.

This investment in the growth of the business was supported by a £1 million funding package from Yorkshire Bank. The deal was negotiated by Keith Smith, relationship manager at Yorkshire Bank's Bolton business and private banking centre.

As well as winning new contracts, the Lancashire firm has diversified its business, offering manned guarding and a security division to compliment its services in the distribution and accommodation sectors.

Ian Gilston, managing director at Cleanall, said: “We are starting to reap the rewards of being a customer-centric business, with our service reputation growing with every new contract. We also pride ourselves on maintaining our company ethos and continuing to support our employees as we grow. That's why we have committed to paying all of our staff the living wage. The funding that Yorkshire Bank has provided has allowed us to invest in the local economy by hiring new staff and purchasing new vans to add to our fleet. Yorkshire Bank has been a trusted advisor and consummate professional throughout the deal negotiation.”

Sean Williams, head of Yorkshire Bank's regional business and private banking centre, said: “Cleanall have been customers of ours for a long time and it's great to see them thriving through Ian's entrepreneurial vision and his well defined growth strategy. Yorkshire Bank's relationship approach is tailored to provide responsive and flexible funding support for businesses targeting growth. Cleanall is an excellent example of a successful and ambitious business and it's rewarding to see the contribution made to the regional economy.”
