Keeping Queens Square clean

LPM Cleaning, the nationwide supplier of commercial cleaning services, is helping to enhance the shopping experience at Queens Square Shopping Centre in West Bromwich by maintaining high levels of cleanliness and customer service within the centre on a daily basis.

LPM has been working with the shopping centre, which welcomes 5.5 million visitors through its doors every year, since 2010. The company provides a team of 10 cleaning operatives, led by a cleaning services manager, who are responsible for cleaning all common parts, service areas, malls, toilet facilities and the management suite, as well as high level glazing, shop fronts and entrances.

Melvin Glasby, centre manager at Queens Square, said: “I have high expectations when it comes to suppliers, and in any tender process I am not only looking for best value, but also best practice in accordance with RICS guidelines. In a cleaning company, the organisation must be able to deliver the highest standards of cleanliness, customer service, and indeed personal appearance, because how the cleaners present themselves and maintain their equipment is yet another factor that contributes to customers' overall impression of the centre. Since winning the contract, LPM has proved its worth time and time again. The company is excellent at resolving any issues within a very short period of time, and has therefore earned my complete trust.”

The on-site team has also impressed Glasby: “The cleaning services manager - June James - is an excellent leader and the team works very well together, as well as with other staff at the centre including our security officers. We have weekly on-site meetings as well as monthly meetings with our region manager, so everything is monitored accordingly. We are a very happy customer.”
