ISSA, the leading trade association for the cleaning industry worldwide, has developed a new free-to-download mobile game called 'Angry Janitors'. The game is available as a free downloadable app at the ITunes Store for the IPhone, IPad and IPod Touch and on Google play for Android phones and Android tablets.
Angry Janitors features three stages - the school, the office, and the hospital - each with 10 levels. King Dirt, King Germ, and their unwelcome cast of filthy underlings have invaded the school, office and hospital and students, workers, patients, and staff are getting sick. It's up to the player to help the janitors - Sweepy, Squirt, and Speedster - eliminate dirt and germs at each level and restore clean and healthy environments.
If a level proves particularly tricky there are super-sized cleaners to instantly wipe out remaining germs and dirt and allow the player to advance to the next level. Additional super-sized cleaners are available as in-app purchases.
The game features a 'top cleaners' leader board where scores can be compared to fellow cleaners, and there are 'golden plungers' to earn when high scores are posted. Tips are given on the value of proper cleaning throughout the game.
Keith Baker, director of EMEA Services for ISSA, said: “Although Angry Janitors is light-hearted and fun, it also communicates to a wider audience the importance of a systematic cleaning programme and the work that cleaning professionals do, all too often without receiving the recognition they so richly deserve.”
