Incentive FM acquires QAS

Incentive FM has acquired Quality Assured Services (QAS) in a move designed complement its existing FM business and further strengthen its presence in the commercial cleaning sector.

QAS has a turnover in excess of £6 million and employs over 600 staff, all of whom have joined the Incentive FM Group as part of the deal. About 90% of its business is in contract cleaning, and the company boasts a prestigious customer base with a particularly strong presence in the public sector.

Steve Wright, the founder and chairman of QAS, will join as both a director and shareholder of Incentive FM Group, the holding company for the various Incentive companies. All cleaning activities will be integrated with the current activities of Incentive Support Services and the cleaning and support services section of Incentive will be rebranded as Incentive QAS.

Jeremy Waud, managing director of Incentive FM Group, said: “QAS is a professional, well structured business with a good client base in the contract cleaning arena making it an excellent fit for us. This acquisition will also give us exposure to high quality public sector work and give us the ability to tender for our wider disciplines within a new area for us. This is an incredible journey for us - Incentive FM only started up seven years ago and as a result of this acquisition, combined with the recent increase in volume and sales growth, we are now a significant force to be reckoned with in the industry and our budgeted sales for the year underway will top £22 million. We are also perhaps an example of how a small business in tough economic times can achieve significant growth by providing high quality, cost effective solutions that often push the boundaries of traditional FM and outsourcing.”

Steve Wright said: “We have worked with Incentive FM many times over the years and have always believed that we share the same business values in terms of quality service and innovative ideas. As a result, it will be business as usual for all our customers and staff except that they will now have the added benefits of us being part of a specialist FM group and having a London base as well as our current office in Hertfordshire.”
