i-Recognise Day 2025: Celebrating our unsung heroes

On Friday, 19 September 2025, the global cleaning community will once again unite to celebrate i-Recognise Day – a dedicated day of appreciation for cleaning operatives around the world.

Cleaning operatives are the often-unsung heroes who work tirelessly behind the scenes to create cleaner, healthier, and safer spaces for everyone. From workplaces to hospitals, schools, public spaces, and beyond, their contribution is vital in keeping environments hygienic and communities protected.

Why i-Recognise Day matters

i-Recognise Day was established to shine a spotlight on the essential role of cleaning operatives, reminding us that their work goes far beyond aesthetics – it is about safeguarding health, safety, and wellbeing. Over the years, this day has grown into an international movement of gratitude and respect.

Each year, more organisations join in support of i-Recognise, including respected names such as ISS, Serco, i-team Global, CleanEvent, Killis, and many others. The initiative supports the impactful work of the Made Blue Foundation.

How to get involved

On Friday, 19 September 2025, businesses and individuals everywhere are encouraged to take part in i-Recognise Day by:

  • Thanking cleaning operatives directly for their dedication and service.
  • Sharing messages of appreciation on social media using #iRecognise2025.
  • Downloading and displaying free posters from the official website: www.i-recognise.com.

By taking part, you can help spread awareness, boost morale, and show genuine appreciation for the people who work so hard to keep our environments safe.
