HSS Hire, the national supplier of tool and equipment hire and outsourcing services, has opened its new academy - a multi-million pound, purpose-built training facility in Reading. The HSS Training Academy will be a national centre of excellence for the company and represents an industry-first for the UK hire industry as the first dedicated training facility of its kind.
It will enable HSS to deliver a wide range of career-enhancing training and both personal and professional development for HSS colleagues, while also supporting long-term NQV and City & Guild Apprenticeship qualifications and the company's graduate programme.
Opening the academy underlines HSS' commitment to investing in skills. HSS employs more than 2000 people nationwide, including 60 apprentices and is responsible for tool and equipment hire and outsourcing services to major UK facilities and construction projects in addition to supplying big businesses, trade and DIY customers.
