Essity has appointed Olivia Slater as the new Commercial Director for its Professional Hygiene business unit in the UK and Republic of Ireland (ROI). Olivia will spearhead the Professional Hygiene sales team and oversee all commercial decisions for the division across the regions.
With over three decades of experience in the packaging and food and beverage industries, Olivia brings with her a diverse range of industry expertise. Olivia joins Essity from paper bag manufacturer, Smith Anderson, where she served over nine years as Sales Director. She also has a varied background working with FMCG giants such as Unilever, Rank Hovis McDougall, and Heineken.
With a proven track record in leading commercial and marketing teams on both local and regional levels, Olivia is well-positioned to take over from her predecessor, Nathan Titheridge, who has moved to a new role within Essity as Initiatives Director for Professional Hygiene. Olivia is the ideal candidate to take on this leadership position and is on track to further Essity's ongoing growth in the regions.
Olivia Slater said: “It’s great to be starting my entry into the professional hygiene sector with Essity. With a diverse background and lots of experience, I am eager to contribute to Essity's ambition to be a leader in sustainable hygiene solutions in the professional hygiene market. The scale and influence that Essity wields in this industry is truly remarkable, and I’m excited about the opportunity to help propel its growth across the region. Essity is not just a leader in hygiene solutions; it also fosters an exceptional workplace culture that prioritises female empowerment and leadership. Moreover, Essity’s dedication to sustainability, women's health, and inclusive hygiene initiatives makes this career move particularly exciting and meaningful. I look forward to being part of a team that is not only focused on business success but also on making a positive impact on society and the environment.”
Olivia’s appointment comes following the appointment of Nicola Conway as Commercial Director for Essity’s consumer goods business in the UK and ROI, and Kate Prince as Senior Public Affairs Manager for the UK and ROI.
