Cromwell Polythene has extended its clinical waste range with the introduction of a thinner gauge sack, fully compliant with the European agreement concerning the international carriage of dangerous goods by road (ADR). The orange sacks are for the collection and disposal of infectious and potentially infectious waste by a licensed or permitted facility.
The 40 micron bag, which has a 90 litre capacity and 11kg design weight, has passed all the tests for bulk transport, including the additional dart impact and tear resistance tests. In addition, the use of star seal technology has facilitated a less formed shape, maximising carrying capacity and optimising leak resistance. The bag also makes use of the company's LOWCO2T technology to reduce its weight, bringing about substantial savings in CO2 and other emissions throughout the supply chain and the product's life cycle compared to its previous ADR compliant bags.
