Cleanability Awards luncheon - a date for your diary

The 2009/2010 Building Cleanability Awards scheme culminates with a presentation luncheon on Monday 12 July in the Great Hall of London’s Guildhall.

Promoted by the cleaning industry Livery Company - The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners - this biennial awards scheme is designed to focus attention on the strengths and weaknesses of building design and construction which impact on levels of cleaning effectiveness - both from a cost and user comfort perspective.

The British Cleaning Council is awards patron, and sponsors of the 2009/2010 scheme are: The British Institute of Cleaning Science; Dougland Support Services; ISS (UK); Mayflower Washroom Solutions; Selden Research; and CAM Specialist Support.

The two leading building design professional bodies - The Royal Institute of British Architects and The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists - have also supported the 2009/2010 scheme.

This year’s entries are currently being assessed by the team of awards assessors and the major winners will be announced at the ceremony on
12 July.

Writer and comedian Barry Cryer will be the celebrity guest for the second time, after his popular appearance at the 2006 awards luncheon. Musicians, Pikemen and Musketeers from The Honourable Artillery Company will be in attendance to add pomp and splendour to the event.

The awards luncheon is open to all-comers, both participants in the scheme as well as non-participants, so book the date now and bring clients and colleagues to network in a convivial atmosphere in a memorable location.
