Bidvest Foodservice selects eSack

Bidvest Foodservice, one of the UK's leading foodservice providers (formerly Bidvest 3663), has adopted eSack, adding Polaris Plastics' new dispensing system and range of refuse sacks to the multiple solutions it offers its customers.

Bidvest Foodservice supplies an extensive range of food, wines, beers and spirits and non-food and catering equipment through its sub-brand, Bidvest Catering Supplies. The company is now actively selling the eSack range in medium and heavy duty, both available in black and clear.

Dan Mills, category buyer at Bidvest Foodservice, said the eSack range is well suited to the catering market: “For hygiene and health and safety reasons, many of our customers want to get cardboard out of the kitchen. With eSack they can do exactly that. The sacks are kept neat and tidy for easy dispensing when needed, which is a real help in a busy kitchen. The on-a-roll format is common in kitchens, with sundries like foil, film and wiping paper being dispensed in this way. This is the first of its kind for refuse sacks on industrial premises. The benefits are that it's quick and easy to dispense refuse sacks and cardboard is taken out of the kitchen, making it possible to keep the area tidy. Being non-gusseted and with a very strong seal makes the sacks leak proof which is also more hygienic.”

Bidvest Foodservice was also attracted by the environmental credentials of the eSack range and the quality assurance provided by its CHSA accreditation. The sacks are manufactured from 100% recycled polythene and are accredited within the CHSA's Manufacturing Standards Accreditation Scheme for Plastic Refuse Sacks, which guarantees customers get what they pay for.
