Anti-contamination company predicts further growth ahead

A specialist contamination prevention company in Kirkby Lonsdale is bucking the economic trend with big growth plans in 2009. Connect 2 Cleanrooms is expecting to increase turnover by 60% in the next 12 months through both organic growth and innovation according to its business advisor, Joyce Tombs of Moore and Smalley chartered accountants.
The business, which specialises in the manufacture and installation of free standing cleanrooms, is based on Kirkby Lonsdale Business Park and was established in 2002 by managing director, Joe Govier, and currently employs six people.
Connect 2 Cleanrooms currently supplies cleanrooms and their components to a broad range of, over 2000 customers throughout the world including Russia, Australia and South Africa and its engineers are constantly working to develop new technologies.
Joe Govier said: “The cleanroom industry is highly specialised and through seven years of hard work we now have a unique product that customers throughout the globe are using to their benefit. Cleanrooms are in extremely high demand at the moment, as they offer business owners a unique option to build a sterile environment quickly. The business prides itself on tailoring itself to customers’ needs and offering a comprehensive service from initial enquiry to installation and training. As we only have six other direct competitors and a strong customer base, 2009 looks to be an extremely positive year for the business and we hope to grow both the team and turnover.”
Joyce Tombs said: “Connect 2 Cleanrooms is weathering the current economic downturn extremely well at the moment by constantly assessing its business plan, being flexible and actively seeking new business opportunities. The best run businesses always adopt the approach of understanding the changing market conditions and continually adapting and improving the way they meet market needs. I would urge all business owners to follow Joe’s great example to keep their businesses thriving through and beyond the current economic downturn.”
