Alex Reid appoints new general manager

Christeyns UK has announced the appointment of Stuart Fullerton as the new general manager for Alex Reid, the Leicester-based supplier of laundry and dry cleaning products. Fullerton joined Alex Reid in 2015 as head of finance, working across all internal departments at the firm. Originally from Lincolnshire, he has a wealth of commercial experience having been involved in a number of business sectors and an in-depth knowledge of the distribution industry in particular. In his new role, he will be leading the company forward as it enters a new period of regeneration and growth.

“It is an exciting time to be at Alex Reid and I am delighted to be taking over the helm as we look forward to a new stage in its development,” he said. “With the excellent, enthusiastic team we already have on board and new strategic business plans in place, we will continue to build on the strong foundations laid over many decades. I am committed to strengthening the commercial relationships with our existing suppliers and working with them to enhance our portfolio. Together, we will push the boundaries of our outstanding customer service offering even further.”

One of Fullerton's first tasks has been to introduce new branding and oversee a complete company refresh. The new branding is the start of a roll-out plan that will see new livery for its fleet of vehicles as well as a redesign and update of the warehousing and office complex in Leicester.

Alex Reid is an established name in the laundry business and supplies national companies such as Johnsons, Jeeves, Waitrose, and Morrisons as well as over 3000 independent laundry outlets across the UK. The firm provides essential consumables, chemicals, laundry supplies, sundries, machinery, spares, and parts, stocking over 3500 items in total.
