Clece Care expands with CK Facilities Management acquisition

Clece Care Services, the UK’s third-largest home care provider, has acquired CK Facilities Management, marking a strategic expansion into the UK facilities management (FM) and cleaning sector. The move strengthens Clece Care Services’ alignment with its parent group, Clece S.A., one of Europe’s largest providers of essential services, and builds on the company’s decade-long growth in the UK care sector.

With over 30 years’ experience delivering cleaning and FM across Spain and Portugal, Clece Care Services is leveraging its heritage to offer integrated care and FM solutions across the UK. Founded in Madrid in 1992 as a cleaning and soft FM company, Clece expanded into care, social services, and essential public-sector operations before entering the UK in 2012. Today, Clece Care Services employs more than 8,000 people and supports 12,000 service users across over 100 local authority areas.

CK Facilities Management was chosen for its strong healthcare portfolio, exceptional performance, and alignment with Clece’s values.

CK delivers cleaning and soft FM services across NHS Trusts, hospices, and education clients, including Guy’s & St Thomas’, Barts Health, King’s College Hospital, North London Hospice, Southmead Hospital, and Marie Curie West Midlands Hospice. The company consistently achieves KPI performance above 99% and maintains sector-leading staff retention, complementing Clece Care Services’ operational excellence in regulated care environments.

Rather than pursuing aggressive M&A, Clece Care Services is focusing on measured, sustainable growth with a “quality first, people led” approach. Priority sectors include healthcare, education, care homes, supported housing, and local authorities. CK provides immediate credibility in health-sector FM, while Clece is investing in specialist teams, digital performance management, and an FM graduate programme to develop the next generation of professionals.

To signify achievement and recognition of this partnership, CK Facilities Management has recently been named a finalist in the Healthcare category at the 2026 Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Awards. This recognition reflects nearly a decade of outstanding service at Marie Curie West Midlands Hospice, where CK has maintained performance exceeding KPIs and zero formal complaints over eight years. In a hospice environment, cleaning goes beyond technical standards, supporting dignity, comfort, and infection control, which CK delivers with sensitivity and professionalism.

Innovation has been central to team’s success, including laundered microfibre systems, digital audit tools, facial recognition for security, and new machinery to enhance efficiency and cleaning standards. These complement CK’s ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 accreditations, demonstrating commitment to quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement.

With Clece Care Services’ operational infrastructure, CK will now benefit from enhanced equipment sourcing, asset maintenance, and technology adoption, enabling innovation, efficiency, and consistency across FM contracts. Together, both organisations are positioned to provide integrated, people-centred services that raise standards in care and facilities management across the UK, reinforcing a shared vision of quality, workforce development, and responsible public-sector partnerships.
