C&M Live Glasgow

Conference Theme: Making the Right First Impression – The Importance of Cleaning in the Hospitality Sector

With the increasing impact of online customer review platforms, the importance of creating the right first impression has never been more critical, particularly across the highly competitive hospitality sector. Restaurants, hotels and entertainment venues are all fighting for business, seeking ways of differentiating themselves from their competitors. A clean and hygienic environment has been highlighted in numerous surveys as a key differentiator amongst a discerning public.

This C&M Live event will feature three expert panels, all moderated by Neil Nixon, C&M Live’s Conference Director.

Panel 1: ‘A Pleasant Stay’

This panel will focus on cleaning within the hotel sector, featuring two cleaning providers from the Glasgow area alongside two facilities experts from amongst the city’s leading hotel providers. With cleanliness high on a resident’s wish-list, this panel will discuss cleaning challenges and solutions in the fast-paced, quick turnover hotel sector.

Panel 2: ‘I’ll Be Back’

This panel looks at the competitive restaurant and bar sector. Two cleaning professionals from the Glasgow area will join two restauranteurs to discuss the challenge of keeping restaurants and bars clean and hygienic – both front of house and behind the scenes. This panel will focus on both regulatory and aesthetic requirements.

Panel 3: ‘A Great Day Out’

This panel will look at Glasgow’s many public facilities – including museums and sports & music venues – and will discuss the cleaning challenge created by these differing environments. In addition to the cleaning requirement, this panel will also consider post-event cleaning, rubbish disposal, washroom provision, and reinstatement of the venue at the end of a day or specific event.

Plus…
In between these three keynote panel sessions, Neil Nixon will also host a number of Dragon’s Den-style panels where participants from within the C&M Live exhibition will be given the opportunity to present a new product or service offering to the audience – who can ask searching questions before voting for their product or service offering of the day.
