Nottingham University has specified Prochem's ‘touch-free’ cleaning technology to its campuses in the city centre and outlying areas.
One of the UK’s leading universities, Nottingham has around 45,500 students and 7000 staff. The university cleaning team sought a single system to clean, virtually touch-free, all bathrooms, changing rooms and shower areas on campus.
Midlands-based janitorial and machine supplier, Candor Services, won the contract to supply five Prochem CR2 (Complete Restroom Renovation) extraction machines with cleaning wands, chemical spray tanks and hand tools.
“Time was our client’s main enemy so a single source solution made sense and when we saw that the user environments were all wet areas, the CR2 became the logical choice,” said Candor's managing director, James Cooper. “The University team were also impressed to learn that by attaching a cleaning wand the CR2 can be used to clean the sites’ carpet tiles.”
