The Wright Time – a good read for a good cause

Steve Wright, former chairman of the British Cleaning Council and Past Master Emeritus of the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners, has recently finished writing his autobiography – ‘The Wright Time’ – detailing his life inside and outside the cleaning industry.

Funded by Steve and published with the assistance of Liveryman David Amos, the book is now available to purchase for a charitable contribution. Steve said: “All the proceeds from book sales will go to charity. I have set an achievable target of £500, although I hope the end figure will be far higher. Once the books have been sold my five grandchildren will each nominate a charity of their own choice and the accumulated funds will be divided equally between those five charities. There are over 560 pages to the book so I hope it will prove a good read!”

The Wright Time is an insight into Steve’s life growing up in north London, covering many different life experiences and his career of over 50 years in the cleaning industry. It includes milestones such as becoming Master of the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners for the year 2006/7. “The book also includes details of my son, Jamie, who many in the industry will know as MD of Incentive QAS and Court Assistant at the Worshipful Company,” continued Steve, “so that may be of interest to some of you!”

The book is available for a minimum donation of £5, but please feel free to give more. If you would like the book signed with a personal message, a minimum donation of £10 is requested. Postage within the UK will be £4.

Please contact Steve directly on: for information on how to place an order. Every penny raised will go to good use supporting the nominated charities his grandchildren.
