Makita has brought a new XGT cordless backpack vacuum cleaner that offers a powerful yet ergonomic solution for cleaning personnel to market.
The new VC011G 40VMax XGT Brushless Backpack Vacuum Cleaner features a built-in HEPA filter to capture the very finest of particles effectively, and its small, comfort-driven design allows for easy movement – ideal for cleaning different surfaces such as hard floors, carpets, upholstery, and high reach areas.
The new VC011G provides a max sealed suction of 20kPa and 2.4m³/min max airflow which delivers the high performance suction required for the toughest applications. Compared to previous models, it has a larger tank capacity (six litres) due to a redesign of the motor and fan specifications, which also allow for a more powerful operation across four suction modes that can operate continuously for up to 260 minutes with 2x 5.0Ah batteries depending on the mode selected.
Weighing only 7.6kg with 2 x BL4040 batteries (sold separately), and featuring adjustable shoulder straps and a cushioned back panel, it ensures comfort during long cleaning sessions, while its lightweight build reduces fatigue. Low noise levels have also been achieved by redesigning air flow paths and parts. This provides additional comfort of use, with mode 1 measuring 55dB(A) and mode 4 68dB(A) – lower than many mainstream vacuum cleaner models available on the market.
The VC011G is equipped with an adjustable telescopic wand and also comes with several attachments including a crevice tool, upholstery nozzle and floor brush, providing versatile cleaning solutions for any job. It has a convenient reusable 6 litre dust bag and its tool-less maintenance provide effortless operation, while the cordless, backpack design grants unparalleled freedom and flexibility for cleaning wherever and whenever needed.
Users can also pick up where they left off, as the cleaner can memorise the previous suction power mode and resume vacuuming in the same manner. Meanwhile, other convenient features include an LED job light for working in low light areas, and a battery capacity display to ensure operators know how much cleaning time is left before a charge is needed.
Kevin Brannigan, Marketing Manager at Makita UK, said: “This next-generation cordless backpack vacuum cleaner offers unparalleled flexibility and functionality. It has user comfort and common sense in mind, with simple-to-use features and various modes of operation to suit any cleaning task. And with a six-litre tank capacity, it is larger than previous models to allow for continuous cleaning work.”
