Metsä Group’s tissue paper business, Metsä Tissue, has closed the window for entering the 2025 Sustainability Awards. A total of 91 entries were received from 46 companies. Nominations were submitted across all five categories and all were automatically entered in the Judges Choice award.
The deadline for nominations was originally 31 August 2024, but it was extended by a month due to a large number of requests from potential entrants impacted by the holiday season.
Mika Paljakka, Metsä Tissue’s SVP UK & Ireland, said: “We are very pleased by the number and the calibre of the entries submitted for the 2025 Sustainability Awards. With 40% more nominations received than the 2023 awards, it is clear that the Metsä Sustainability Awards have become a benchmark for the industry.”
The Sustainability Awards were founded in partnership with the Cleaning & Services Support Association (CSSA) in 2023 with the aim of shining a spotlight on sustainability across the cleaning and hygiene industry. The 2025 Sustainability Awards ceremony will be held at The Pelligon in Canary Wharf in London, on 19 March 2025 - during the Cleaning Show.
