Gloucester Rugby’s Kingsholm Stadium has been given a deep clean during the 2023/24 season thanks to Kärcher’s team and tools.
A 12-strong team from Kärcher recently headed to the Kingsholm Road-based ground where they cleaned the Malvern Tyres Stand, that seats 6000, and all of the way around the pitch and the car park.
Equipped with a fleet of Kärcher Professional cleaning equipment, the team carried out the four-day deep clean, using a Kärcher MIC 42 Implement Carrier, Scrub Deck, HDS Hot Water Trailer, HDS 8/20 High Pressure Cleaner, FRV Surface Cleaner and NT 611 MWF Wet and Dry Vacuum Cleaner.
James Gordon, Marketing Director at Kärcher, said: “Our professional cleaning equipment is designed to achieve outstanding cleaning results efficiently and effectively on all areas, including mud-covered spectator stands. As one of our partners, we were only too happy to help Gloucester Rugby get its ground spectator-ready for the new season. Once we got to work, you could immediately see the difference, especially on the lower metal stands, which have now been restored to their former glory.”
The MIC 42 was used on the entire car park, in between the stands and around the pitch. Pressure washers with the FRV attached were used to clean the upper stands and the pavement outside the front of the stadium near the car park. The FRV was then removed and the pressure washers were used to clean the lower stands. Meanwhile, vacuums were used to tackle the upper stands, a task that posed a unique challenge for Kärcher’s cleaning team.
James Gordon continued: “We’re extremely pleased with the end result. The stadium’s longevity has been increased because we have carried out such a thorough clean. It will also be much easier for the club to maintain going forward too.”
Gloucester Rugby General Manager, Amelia Gray, said: “We are extremely impressed with the impact Kärcher made within such a short period of time. Traditionally, we’ve always used mops to keep things clean, but switching to pressure washing is not only quicker, but far more effective at effortlessly blasting layers of dirt away. We’re all set for the rest of the season and, thanks to Kärcher, so too is our stadium.”
