Bio-Productions get their kit on for charity

Burgess Hill-based Bio Productions kicked its fundraising up a notch recently with a football-themed fundraising event.

Staff members at the environmentally-focused cleaning chemicals manufacturer donned football kits for the day, with the company donating £5 per participant. The total amount raised was £200. Funds went to the Cancer Research Initiative, founded in memory of late football legend, Sir Bobby Moore.

Shortly after his death in 1993, Bobby's widow Stephanie Moore OBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund as a restricted fund of Cancer Research UK to raise money for pioneering bowel cancer research.

“We love supporting good causes” said Angela Gill, Managing Director of Bio Productions. “There's a lot in the news at the moment about bowel cancer, which is the fourth most common cancer in the UK and the second biggest cancer killer. We wanted to do our bit by donning our kit!”
