ABM UK has announced that Nick Tanti has been appointed managing director of the company’s hard services arm, ABM Technical Solutions.
ABM Technical Solutions works with customers across the UK, providing a range of technical services including but not limited to energy, electrical and HVAC solutions as well as the projects team which oversees electric vehicle charge point installation. This part of the business also has invaluable involvement with ABM UK’s apprenticeship and J.E.E.P schemes, both working to close the engineering skills gap in the UK.
In his new role, Nick Tanti will continue to align business operations to the group’s 2020 vision, delivering industry solutions and insights to ABM UK’s customers. Previously a divisional director at the firm for over 10 years, Tanti has built a successful relationship with ABM UK’s varied customer base, which includes British Land, Hammerson, BNP Paribas, and the Museum of London.
“Nick has been an asset to the ABM family for over a decade and having begun his career as an apprentice in 1987, he brings vast experience in the hard services industry,” said Scott Giacobbe, chief revenue officer at ABM. “Nick’s story of working his way into leadership roles is one that communicates the values of the ABM Group well. He will be responsible for driving growth by leveraging our breadth of services throughout the UK.”
Nick Tanti said: “Having started my career journey as an HVAC electrically-biased apprentice, I have seen the different roles that are key to success in our business. It’s important to demonstrate to the next generation of engineers that you can succeed to the highest levels of leadership in our industry. I feel a real affinity with everyone who works as part of the ABM team. There have been many turning points in recent years to create the ABM UK we see today. This journey is one that each and every one of my colleagues has contributed to and I am honoured to lead ABM Technical Solutions at such an exciting time.”
