B&M Waste Services is continuing to support local charity, Children’s Heart Surgery Fund, through a donation of £4000. In addition to its donation, B&M Waste promotes the charity on the side of its iconic big yellow trucks as a continuing assistance in spreading awareness of the valuable work the charity facilitates.
Georgie Abbott, corporate partnerships manager at Children’s Heart Surgery Fund, said: “Thank you so much to everyone at B&M Waste who has been involved in fundraising activities to support Children’s Heart Surgery Fund (CHSF). We are incredibly grateful for the very generous donation of £4000. To put this into context, £4000 could cover the cost of 40 Kardia mobile devices, allowing patients to record their heartbeat remotely, which means children won’t need to miss school for endless hospital visits. This year we particularly enjoyed working with the B&M Waste staff who volunteered at our CHSF Superhero Walk. It was brilliant to see the children enjoying B&M Waste educational recycling games about why we need to take care of our planet. We look forward to working together again in 2020.”
Jayne Kennedy, B&M Waste’s senior marketing and social value manager, said: “We’re so pleased to be able to support such a wonderful cause. Whilst we can’t imagine how difficult it must be for parents and families in this situation, particularly at this time of year, we hope this donation can continue to aid the charity in providing support and ground-breaking equipment for the children they work with.”
