CSSA - a busy year ahead

Paul Ashton, Chairman of the Cleaning & Support Services Association (CSSA), looks ahead to a busy year for the association - including a high profile at this year's Cleaning Show in London.

Since becoming chairman for the CSSA, the highlight has been speaking with our membership to understand their current challenges to ensure we continue to stay relevant. As a business owner and operator, I am passionate about ensuring our association continues to be run by the industry, for the industry.

Our board of directors represents a wide range of different companies who operate within our sector and all share a passion to make a difference. As we look ahead to 2023, we are committed to creating value for our members by identifying new ways to provide support when it matters most. Increased member engagement, informative workshops, enhanced access to industry insights and creation of regional communities.

Stronger together is a key theme and in the spirit of walking the walk, the CSSA is proactively looking for opportunities to work side by side in harmony with our fellow industry representatives to raise our profile and recognise best practice.

Right now, all eyes are on The Future of Cleaning - The CSSA Innovation Showcase at The Cleaning Show in London, which will be an immersive experience that demonstrates a leap forward over previous events. The selection of CSSA Innovators promise to demonstrate the significant impact technology is having on cleaning and hygiene with some brand new, never been seen before products sure to change traditional perceptions.

New format, innovator panels and membership workshops will provide the ideal opportunity to find out more about the latest innovations. Raising the bar, there will be sessions run by the CSSA to provide insights about why the technology is relevant, the benefits and genuine experience-based lessons learnt to help pass on knowledge.

To top it all off, the CSSA is proud to be partnering with the Metsa Sustainability Awards for the industry's newest high-profile event – on 15 March 2023, held at the Cutty Sark - which is designed to celebrate and recognise environmental and social value best practice across our industry. The level of submissions has been phenomenal, and the event is already sold out. As one of the judges, it’s been great to see the professionalism and level of organisation applied and promises to be a key calendar event for the future.

Please ensure you follow both the CSSA and The Cleaning Show on social media for the latest information and get involved.
