Cheapside contract grows London portfolio

Incentive QAS has been awarded a three-year contract by Workman LLP, the property management and building consultancy firm, to provide a range of soft services at 80 Cheapside in the City of London. Incentive QAS and sister company, Incentive FM, currently deliver solutions at several of Workman’s regional shopping centres, but this represents the first commercial property contract between the two organisations.

The 94,211 square-foot multi-let property is also home to Workman’s city office, which is located within one of the building’s seven floors. Under the terms of the contract, Incentive QAS will be responsible for cleaning all communal areas, daytime housekeeping, washroom services, consumables supply, pest control, waste management, and window cleaning. To ensure the building is maintained to an exceptional standard, Incentive QAS will deploy a team of four, three of which transferred via TUPE, at the building from Monday to Friday. The team includes a dedicated supervisor who will oversee day-to-day operations.

Incentive QAS was awarded the contract following a tender process against four competitors. Workman visited the St Botolph Building, a contemporary office space in Aldgate, where Incentive QAS provides a range of cleaning and associated services. During the visit, the team was impressed with the company’s approach to innovation and use of technology to improve efficiencies.

Ross Ackland, regional facilities manager at Workman, said: “Having previously worked with Incentive QAS, we were aware of their ability to manage complex facilities to an exceptional standard. They are a forward-thinking company who continuously look to improve their service by investing in technology and their people on the ground. We look forward to working closely with them at 80 Cheapside for at least the next three years.”

Jamie Wright, managing director at Incentive QAS, said: “This important contract with Workman further strengthens our presence in the City of London. To help us deliver an efficient and streamlined service, we have deployed the LEVIY contract management system at the facility. This will provide us with a complete overview of the operation, leading to huge efficiency gains that will benefit all the tenants in the building.”
